A theme wedding is my favorite. They can really be a blast. I got to go to a really super wedding and reception last weekend. The ceremony and reception was done in country western.
A quaint little country church was the location of the wedding ceremony. It was really quite lovely with lots of flowers and candles around the altar, and satin bows and ribbons connected at the end of the pews. The bridesmaids and flower girl wore gorgeous baby blue dresses with flowered hair pieces. The little ring boy was adorable in his little tux, and the groomsmen were very handsome in theirs, with the white boutonnieres in the lapels. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were a picure perfect couple. A horse drawn buggy awaited to take the bride and groom to the reception.
The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. It was a lovely home with a couple of acres and a barn for their horses they planned on having. What a wonderful place to start a new life together, it’s perfect.
You could tell at one glance how hard she worked at setting this reception in motion. Everything was fantastic. Each checkered tablecloth had centerpieces of wild flowers in little metal buckets. She did a fantastic job, not just with the décor, but also the theme wedding favors. Around the reception tables it was lit up with lanterns and white christmas lights everywhere. With the décor consisting of hay bales and corn stalks on the barn doors, this really gave the perfect appearance of a country reception. There were so much set up for adults and kids to enjoy. My husband and I did a little dancing while some played horse shoes or gave apple bobbing a try. Everyone was having the time of their lives.
Their country western wedding cake topper was very comical and the cake itself was a masterpiece of confection. The cutest cake topper I’ve ever seen. I wish I knew where she got those adorable country themed champagne flutes. And on each and every table she had little cowboy hats that were used as place card holders. Everyone thought they were so cute.
The food they chose for the reception was unbelievable. Since this was more like a country barbecue, there was plenty choices of meats, salads and vegetables. There was more than enough to eat. It was a great reception, plenty to eat, great tunes to dance to and games to keep the kids happy for hours. It was a great country western themed reception.
A beach themed reception is another great party to go to. The beauty of a beach wedding is just amazing. It’s so romantic with the sunset above the ocean. With the feel of warm breezes and the sounds of the water, you can feel the romance in the air. On my wedding day, I want to have a wedding ceremony just like this one.
The bridesmaids looke so nice in their linen summer dresses and the groomsmen were quite handsome in their drawstring pants and linen shirts. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect ceremony than this wonderful dream wedding.
Their reception was more than elegant too. All the tables were decorated with the beach theme in mind. She had a wonderful idea for centerpieces, with seashells, starfish and orchids surrounding two large white candles in a tray of sand. She had the most adorable sea shell place card holders and beautiful beach themed champagne glasses on all her tables.
She did a marvelous job decorating in a beach motif, from her wedding cake topper to the lovely theme wedding invitations that I was infatuated with. This was truly a wedding and reception to remember.

The ceremony took place in a small country church. The church was beautifully decorated with satin ribbon and bows, flowers and candles. The bridesmaids and flower girl wore gorgeous baby blue dresses with flowered hair pieces. The little ring boy was adorable in his little tux, and the groomsmen were very handsome in theirs, with the white boutonnieres in the lapels. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were a picure perfect couple. A horse drawn buggy awaited to take the bride and groom to the reception.
The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. This was a prime piece of property, with a nice house, a barn and two acres of land. What a wonderful place to start a new life together, it’s perfect.

They even had country themed champagne flutes for the bridal toast. There were also adorable little cowboy hats were the place card holders for every guest. That was such a unique idea.
There was plenty of delicious foods for everyone at the party. Since they did a lot of grilling, we had our choice of steaks, ribs, and chicken, plus all kinds of salads and vegetables. There was more than enough to eat. It was a great reception, plenty to eat, great tunes to dance to and games to keep the kids happy for hours. We all had a wonderful time at the country western themed party.

The Perfect The Wedding Album!
December 3rd, 2009Once we decided on a beach wedding, I started looking for all my accessories and supplies they had in a beach motif. First things first, I bought our beach themed wedding invitations. Since I had a couple of invitations I had to do over again, I was really glad I bought extra. With the invitations all done and on their way to our prospective guests, I could move on to picking out the beach wedding dress I wanted for our ceremony. With all the selections of beautiful beach dresses and wedding gowns, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to wear. I was unsure about the two full length wedding gowns I found, I didn’t want to be uncomfortable at my beach wedding. I picked out a gorgeous spaghetti strapped dress made of satin and lace with beautiful little beads scattered around it, in a knee length.
My bridesmaids looked so lovely in their haltered beach dresses of cool linen with a crocheted bodice. All the groomsmen wore linen white shirts and sand colored pants and my husband, to be looked so handsome in his blue linen shirt and white pants. The little sundress our flower girl wore looked so adorable on her and our ring boy looked so cute in his little khaki shorts and white shirt. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.
I wish now,with all the photos of our wedding being taken, that I would have bought two leather wedding albums, instead of only one. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. Pictures of our satin canopy and flowered arch where we stood to take our vows was a definite must. After we were pronounced husband and wife, we left for the hotel to change from our wedding attire to our beach attire. Some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore their swim wear under their wedding clothes, and some went home to change. The guests were informed on the invitations to wear casual clothing.
Our guests seemed impressed with the wedding accessories for our reception tables that were done in a beach themed décor. I bought everything for our tables at the same place I bought our lovely beach themed wedding album. I found the cutest little beach chairs as place card holders that they can use for their favorite little photo later. The guests seemed to like them, and I thought they were just adorable. I also found the perfect beach wedding favors for our friends and family. The little tea lights I chose were in the shape of miniature sand castles and to help them keep the memory of our wonderful beach reception. I found everything we needed, as far as accessories and decorations, for our wedding table and our guests reception tables. I not only bought our beach themed wedding cake topper there, but also the cake knife server set, beautiful crystal champagne glasses and lovely wine glasses too.
There were a lot of nice comments made by our guests on how lovely everything looked. I added some tiki torches everywhere and put gel candles on all of our guests wedding reception tables to help add a touch of atmosphere to everything. Planning this beach wedding and reception was a lot easier than I thought it would be, with all the accessories and supplies they had. Everything was like a dream come true, with the beautiful ocean waves and the warm summer sands as our wedding chapel and reception location.
Every once in a while I take out our beach themed the wedding album and remember our special day.
The Perfect Leather Wedding Photo Album!
December 3rd, 2009Once we decided on a beach wedding, I started looking for all my accessories and supplies they had in a beach motif. The first thing to get was the invitations for our beach themed wedding. One thing I discovered was to be sure you always buy extra invitations, just in case you make a mistake and have yourself a do over, like I did. After I got the invitations out of the way, my next step was finding the right dress for a beach wedding. There were so many options for beach wedding dresses and gowns, that it was a tough decision to make. The full length bridal gowns were so beautiful, but I was afraid they may be too uncomfortable for a beach wedding. So, even though I loved the gowns, I chose a lightweight knee length beaded satin dress with a gorgeous lace covering and spaghetti straps.
Linen beach dresses with a crocheted halter covering was what I chose for my bridesmaids. My handsome groom wore a sky blue linen shirt and white linen pants and his groomsmen wore white linen shirts with sand colored linen pants. Our flower girl wore an adorable little sundress and the ringboy stayed nice and cool in his little khaki shorts and white cotton shirt. Everyone in the wedding party looked fantastic and the bouquets were absolutely the most beautiful arrangements I could have found.
I kept thinking how I should have bought two wedding albums, because I wanted lots of pictures of our wonderful beach wedding and reception. I expect photos of every person here and everything at our wedding including our reception and the beautiful beach décor. Pictures of our satin canopy and flowered arch where we stood to take our vows was a definite must. After we were pronounced husband and wife, we left for the hotel to change from our wedding attire to our beach attire. December 3rd, 2009Its been many years since my wedding and I can’t believe how much everything has changed for the better, including the decorations. When I started browsing the internet I found so many beautiful wedding and reception accessories for almost any type of wedding you could imagine. Beach party weddings can be one of the most fantastic ceremonies with seashells and starfish to help decorate with. They have summer and spring designs to choose from that are just awesome. I saw gorgeous new wedding collections for all seasons. The season that was amazing was the winter season because of all the Christmas colors and decorations you can add to your reception. I actually heard that some brides and grooms have an outside winter wedding. That sounds beautiful, but it seems just a little too modern, and too cold for my taste. I think I would be just fine with an indoor winter wedding and reception. Maybe a ski resort would be a good place for a winter wedding, with all the fireplaces and cozy winter atmosphere.
There were also quite a bit to choose from for autumn weddings too, which is really my favorite time of the year. An autumn wedding would be so beautiful because of the beautiful scenery with the colors changing and awesome fall scents in the air. When I was married many years ago the only options you had was a church wedding or a county building to get married. Times have changed so much that you can plan your wedding day to be what you want it to be. There are even destination weddings, where you have a few close friends and family go along to the location of your choice for you ceremony. Everybody probably feels like they’re eploping too. Soon my daughter will be getting married and I have been helping her to prepare for her country western wedding and reception. At first I thought that idea was just a little out there, but the more we got into the actual planning, the more I liked it. So, I’ve decided to get on the band wagon and go shopping for a pair of cowboy boots, hat and blue jeans and get ready to celebrate this wedding the country way. This is going to be a wedding to remember and will be talked about for years to come. With our anniversary coming up soon, I may take my daughters idea and have a country western renewal ceremony and reception.

If I only knew about all the possibilities on the internet when I did my planning for my wedding. Making the right choice when it comes to wedding gifts
December 2nd, 2009I put a lot of thought about the theme for our wedding ceremony and reception. I liked the idea of a beach wedding, but a garden wedding or country western theme sounded pretty great too. But I also considered having a traditional wedding. Then I found out about destination weddings and that one got me thinking. I thought about the tropical shores of Hawaii or the excitement of Vegas might be a great idea. The islands of Hawaii would definitely be my first choice. But I had to give that plan up, too many people wouldn’t be able to travel that far.
Then I thought about a winter themed wedding. But since we were getting married in the summer months, I didn’t think I should go with a snow scene. I wanted a wedding fit for a king and queen, and what better way to do that then with a storybook wedding. There were plenty of fairy tale accessories and ideas to work with for the perfect story book wedding. The bakery even had wedding cakes that worked out with my idea. So I finally made up my mind. Cinderella and Prince Charming were getting married.
Through online shopping I found lovely story book invitations. There were also plenty of accessories and supplies to pick out for my storybook wedding. I bought the most beautiful wedding gown I could find at the bridal shop and had my bridesmaids and little flower girl in exquisite floor length dresses, all with tiaras. All of the groomsmen and the ring boy looked so handsome in their tuxes, but the best looking one of all, was my regal prince. When I walked down the aisle towards my husband to be I really felt like I was royalty. Everything about our ceremony was exquisite. The accessories I bought added so much glamour and style to our storybook wedding. Rose petals were falling all around us as we were leaving the church. Outside we climbed into a gorgeous horse drawn carriage to take us to the reception hall.
A real castle wouldn’t haved looked as good as our reception hall with all of the fantastic accessories and decorations. I was able to find all the accessories I needed for this special themed wedding and some very lovely wedding favors for our friends and family. I had every unique wedding favor done up in storybook themed favor boxes. I was amazed at all of the themed accessories there were for our fairy tale reception. I decided on little coaches for place card holders and the gorgeous place card holders that looked just like Cinderella coach. They just have everything I could possibly need for the perfect fairy tale wedding and reception.
Our guests all had a wonderful time and were very impressed with all the lovely storybook décor. One of our guests stated that she’d never seen such a gorgeous ceremony as ours. I know I was impressed and it was my wedding. A fairy tale wedding was a great idea, and it really helped to be able to have such fantastic accessories to choose from. I wanted this to be special for our friends and family too, the way it was for us. Everything at our reception was in a fairytale theme, even our cake, so I wanted themed wedding gift boxes too. I wanted to give our guests more than just favors, that’s why I chose gifts that could also be used as souvenirs. A special something to remind them of sharing this very special ceremony with us.
As soon as we returned from our honeymoon, I got started on all the thank you notes I needed to mail out. There was even thank you notes available in storybook theme. Maybe on our 20th anniversary we can do this again.
An Elegant Party Invitation!
December 2nd, 2009I made a list of everything I’d have to buy for my best friend’s bridal shower, and then once I had that, I got to work. Goal number one was finding a birthday party invitation. Dragging myself from shop to shop hoping to find a good deal or a decent selection isn’t my idea of a good time, so I went searching for supplies online. Boy, did I luck out in that department. The prices and selection were both better than I expected. I even got a few items at a great discount price. The script on the party invitations was silver, and the edges were pearl; they looked exquisite. They had all kinds of invitation cards, from general party invitations to specific ones, like wedding party invitations.
There were some great little accessories for my shower too, like place card holders for all the little tables I had set up. Another item I picked out for the bride was a sign-in book for guests so that she could keep track of who gave her what gifts easily. One style of place card holders caught my fancy. The place cards themselves had pink lilies on them, and then everyone got a handbag made of plastic and filled with candy in different-colored wrappers. They looked so nice on the party tables along with the decorations and party favors I chose for everyone. You should see all the cute litte favor boxes you can get for just about any ocassion you are planning on celebrating. Flower decorations were on the containers I picked out, and I put them all on a serving dish on the table that held the gifts. It looked very decorative like that and each lady just took a gift from the plate. As thank you gifts I decided on manicure sets for everyone, and I bought a few extra gifts as prizes for the party games we were going to play. I got little decorative soaps, purse mirrors, novelty key rings and many other little trinkets that made great prizes.
Party game suggestions abound on the Internet. There was a real funny one called ‘Take It Off ‘ where everyone puts a paper bag over their heads and then the hostess tells everyone to remove one article, and you’d be surprised how many ladies don’t think to remove the bag. This is really a hysterical game to play. We also played bridal bingo and a couple other funny games. Looking online saved me a ton of money and exposed me to a lot of options I, otherwise, wouldn’t have known anything about. I made out alright purchasing my favors and invitations from them. The things I purchased were well made, and I spent a lot whole less than I thought I would have to, and had a whole lot more choices. This site I found also has wedding invitations and favors, so I made it a point to inform my friend who was getting married about it, since I was sure she would want to know about this place. She’ll have a lot of options when she uses this site, and it will save her a pretty penny, which all newlyweds need. The shower was a hit because of them, I know that much. We all had a super time and all my favors and other accessories really impressed my guests. The people who took the time to go to the shower will all get thank you cards, which I’m working on now. The thank you cards, as you might expect, were purchased on the net as well. With all the web has to offer, I’m helping my friend plan her sons’ birthday party.
